- Capture visible portions of the screen for image-based translations (after explicit user action, such as clicking "Capture and Translate").

We use browser notifications to:
- Alert you about the status of translation tasks (e.g., success or errors).
- Provide configuration or usage tips.
4. Storage
The Extension uses browser storage to save:
- Your API keys and preferred language settings.
- Recently translated content for convenience.
When We Access or Disclose Your Information
The Extension processes your data locally and does not transmit personal or browsing data to third parties, except:
- When you explicitly use a third-party translation API (e.g., OpenAI API), your data is sent directly to the respective service.
Legal Requirements: We will disclose data only if legally required, such as in response to valid legal processes or subpoenas.
Your Rights
As a user, you have the right to:
- Access: View the data stored by the Extension, including settings and recent translations.
- Correction: Update or correct API keys and preferences directly within the Extension settings.
- Deletion: Remove all stored data by resetting the Extension.
We do not store any data on our servers, so there is no centralized repository of your information. Any retained data resides solely on your device.
Data Retention
The Extension retains data only as long as necessary to perform its core functions. For example:
- API keys and preferences are stored until you manually remove them.
- Translation tasks use temporary data that is discarded immediately after processing.
Cookies and Tracking
The Extension does not use cookies or tracking technologies to monitor your browsing activity. However, third-party translation services you configure may use their own tracking mechanisms as outlined in their respective privacy policies.
Location of Data
All data processed by the Extension remains on your device or is transmitted directly to the translation API you configure. No data is sent to or stored on our servers.
